build your song
from the ground up

Raw tracks to streaming-ready

The Goal

The sole purpose of Wood Stack is to take your raw tracks and turn them in to hits. Like stacking wood, you can't build high if you don't have a solid base. I have been a professional musician for more than 15 years and started my journey as a mixing and mastering engineer a few years ago. I bet I can make that song you have sound like it does in your head. Unless you want to sound like MJ.

I can only work so many miracles.

What you get

Mixing/Production

I use a healthy mixture of high end plugins and painstaking years of musical training to take your recorded song from the raw audio files to a fully produced song. Because I do all of my mixing "in the box" (without external hardware), your cost stays affordable and my sanity stays intact. I even have an arsenal of professional musicians that would love to contribute to your vision, should you want a little extra pizzazz. I keep them in my basement and they live a good life eating peanut butter and saltines. Sometimes I pay them.

Mastering

Usually, mastering is regarded as an expensive, strange and dark art. Lucky for you, I never got in to Hogwarts so I will lay it all out for you right now; To master a song, I spend a LONG time listening to the mixed track, making small additions and subtractions where I feel is necessary to get the track to hit. This includes, but is not limited to; EQ, compression, expansion, saturation, loudness, punchy-ness, cool-ness, sparkly-ness, heavy-ness, high-end sizzle and low-end control. I labor over the most minute details of the overall impression of the entire song, balance them out with the OTHER songs in the project (if there are multiple) and then cast a few small spells I learned in orientation. Bam. Wood stacked.

Want a hand? That's a lot of wood.

Recording your own tracks can suck ass. I can help. With guidance on everything from recording equipment, DAW functionality, sending and receiving files and even how to tune those pesky drums, you will be up and going in no time. Already have tracks recorded? Fine. I didn't want to help you anyway.
